My card is very simple, I made it with Create a Critter and some buttons I got at Michael's for a dollar. It's also being sent to my Great Aunt for Valentines day who is currently battling stage 3 ovarian cancer!
Hope you like it! I am pretty proud of it as it's the first time I have used anything out side of paper on a card. Thanks for coming by now head over to Ellen at Card Monkey! http://cardmonkey-business.blogspot.com/

First Blog Hop

WELCOME!! This is my first time ever being in a blog hop and am happy you made it here! I had every intention of making Christmas cards last year and never got to it, so this year I vowed to get it done and here it is! It's simple but I love the way it came out. Hunter thought it was the funniest thing when he first saw it. Oh and I love to emboss so I had to of course work that into my card. I had first done it with glitter red but decided I liked the glossy better. I am also going to make a red card with green Seasons Greetings embossed on the top! Hope you like it! Now hop on over to Dorly and check out her Awesomeness!!!! http://modernadesignsart.blogspot.com/

Some New Stuff

I've made a couple new things. One of them being a page for my brother who is currently battling testicular cancer. I was super happy with the way it came out and I've showed it to my sister in law who loved it. The other thing I made was a thank you card for the 1st grade teacher I volunteered for earlier this year. I felt bad as I stopped volunteering way before I had told her I wanted too but with my brother's diagnosis and everything else going on things were just getting to be too much so in the best way I knew how to show her how much I appreciated the things she had done for me I got crafty lol. :)

Glass Etching!

This weekend after watching a couple different youtube videos I decided to try my hand at glass etching and now am super addicted. I made glasses for my grandparents, a picture frame for my mom and a jar for Hunter's Kinder teacher! It's super easy to do I just cut out the stencil with my Cricut using contact paper(the stuff you usually use to line kitchen drawers or shelfs) it's thin and has a sticky side. I placed the stencil on the glass added the Armour Etch to the stencil and let it sit for about 7 minutes or so and rinsed off with warm water. I think the hardest part was getting the stencil on where I wanted it lol.
